An Exclusive Wedding Open Day with a sense of Grandeur – Sunday 5th March 2017.

Little Thakeham is a stunning venue nestled in the South Downs between the picturesque villages of Storrington and Thakeham, West Sussex. The house is a Grade I Listed Property that was designed by renowned architect Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1902. Lutyens designed private houses for a cohort of wealthy, progressive clients at the turn of the 19th century. Amongst these houses was Little Thakeham. Lutyens described it as the ‘best of the bunch’. It combines the architectural vocabulary and attention to detail which makes his work so important and distinctive. His remarkable attention to detail is apparent everywhere you look. Whilst there is grandeur to the 12,500 sq ft mansion which boasts impressive fireplaces, original wood flooring and stone mullioned windows, it is also a beautiful family home which is now available for exclusive hire for weddings.

The venue will be hosting 10 exclusive weddings a year within the house, the surrounding grounds and formal gardens.

Options include exclusive venue hire with use of 3 ensuite bedrooms, a chauffeur driven 1950’s Jaguar and the venue can also accommodate a marquee or tipis on the formal lawn.

There is also the opportunity of a marquee or festival themed wedding in the south facing paddock. Land hire is available on a 12 acre field close to the venue.

If you are interested in hosting your day at Little Thakeham, To Have & To Hire Events will be hosting a Wedding Open Day on Sunday 5th March 2017 at Little Thakeham, where Vintage Bar Box® will be in attendance. All couples are kindly asked to pre-register here.
