With an annual attendance of around 70,000 visitors, the South of England Show in Ardingly near Haywards Heath is no small affair and truly served to represent the best of British rural life. During the region’s biggest celebration event of British countryside and farming, there were superb displays covering every aspect of Sussex country life, supported by continuous arena action in the Show’s four show rings.

The South of England Agricultural Society celebrated their patron the Queen’s official 90th birthday weekend with spectacular arena action and a surprise rock choir flash mob rendition of happy birthday.

Within the 150-acre showground, the Harwoods Group played a focal part of the event with a spectacular stand, which incorporated the Vintage Bar Box®.

Harwoods has been the leading motor dealership group in the South of England for over 80 years, boasting over 13 dealerships. The company had their very finest vehicles display from prestigious automotive brands Land Rover, Aston Martin, Bentley, Audi and Jaguar.

Hardwoods dry hired the Vintage Bar Box® to accompany their Series 1 Land Rover Defender, matching in colour. Staff from Harwoods served complimentary freshly prepared Pimms from the horsebox trailer bar, alongside a corporate VIP hospitality tent with fine food from Stuarts Caterers. It was a wonderful customer engagement activity from the sales and marketing team of Harwoods.

True to form in likeness of their state-of-the-art showrooms, the company’s stand impressed not just the crowds, but also the judges, and were awarded 1st place for ‘Best Trade Exhibit’.
